sometimes older is better! I'musing CS3 and it gets the job done fine. You're doing good though the line control on this is nice and tight. Keep it up!
Try to draw more with your elbow and shoulder rather than your wrist. You'll find you have better control over the movement of the stylus. Its worth viewing tutorials on the web that will help you learn some fundamentals of digital sketching. Try this site http://www.ctrlpaint.com/, there are tons of tutorials that cater to a variety of fields but in general you might want to focus on the ones that cover topics such as: how to get clean lines, masking and so on.
